Witchy Women of the Fingerlakes
7/11 & 7/12 Performing at 12:30 & 2:30

We are thrilled to once again welcome The Witchy Women of the Finger Lakes to the NY Lavender Festival. This is a local branch of an international group that started in Germany, called the Wolfshager Hexenbrut  Similar groups exist across the US since the original group first performed the “Witch Dance” in Harz, Germany in 2016, to composer Peter Fox’s song, “Schüttel deinen Speck,” which translates to “Shake your bacon.”  This talented group of fun loving ladies  don’t charge a fee. Instead, the group asks for donations, which they give to the Community Action Programs (CAP) Cayuga/Seneca to fund the organization’s domestic violence intervention program. In the last four years, the group has raised over $31,000 for victims of domestic violence through their witchy dancing.
